Die Highlands, Schottland - Part 1
 

Mit diesem Post verabschiede ich mich für die kommenden Tage, denn morgen werde ich in aller Früh nach Kings Cross fahren - und mich dabei ein kleines bisschen wie Harry Potter fühlen - um dort in den Zug nach Edinburgh zu steigen, wo ich ein verlängertes Wochenende verbringen werde. Ich wünsch euch eine schöne Woche, wir lesen uns sobald ich zurück bin.

jojojo was geht ab? weil sich in diesem haus keine einzige weiße wand hat finden lassen, musste ich für heutigen post auf meine über-photoshop skills zurückgreifen. statt gästezimmer unordnung im hintergrund jetzt also kitschi regenbogen-meeresrauschen ästhetik. ich wünsch euch was! Anstatt immer nur die Tube (ich faules Tier) zu den immer gleichen Plätzen zu nehmen habe ich diesen Sonntag etwas neues ausprobiert: Losmarschieren ohne Ziel. Von der Tottenham Court Road durch ein paar kleine Parks und Gassen nach Soho - und natürlich sofort in die Chinese New Year Festivitäten reingeplatzt - dann weiter über den Trafalgar Square richtung Big Ben/Houses of Parliament gequetscht, nach einem Abstecher an die Themse mit dem Bus nach St.Pancras und weiter zur Whitechapel. Und das alles in nur einem Nachmittag. Ich glaube so viel habe ich den ganzen letzten Monat über nicht gesehen und mir ist einmal mehr bewusst geworden wie wunderschön diese Stadt doch ist. x

This weekend I tried out something new: Instead of always going by tube to always the same places I spent the whole afternoon walking around the city without any particular destination. I can't believe how much you really miss when you always just walk along the usual paths and it made me once more realize how beautiful this city is.

heute einfach mal ganz schlicht.

wöchentliches fotoupdate here we go (draußen regnet es seit 2 tagen grr, das macht mich gerade etwas schreibfaul. ich werde mich jetzt einfach wieder in mein bett setzen und mit süßkram vollstopfen, irgendwie muss man den halben koffer schokoriegel ja loswerden den man aus deutschland mitgebracht hat haha):

(1) a winter stroll along hunstanton pier. sort of depressing to walk past all those rundown fairground rides and abandoned caravans (2) the evening sky in its most amazing colors (yea i know, taking pictures of sunsets is just like being 13 again and getting your first own digital camera (3) english landscape passing by the train windows (4) departing from kings cross. i just love this rail station (5) away from the flock. (damien hirst) (6) i wish i had a mirror like this in my room, with the sunlight shining through the window in the back every afternoon

2. versuch, die ubiquitären nudeln mit käsesoße irgendwie interessant aussehen zu lassen.

3. allerhand krimskrams den ich so mit mir rumtrage. das buch ist übrigens sehr empfehlenswert!
